Pinterest Cooking... "Honey Salmon In Foil" from Damn Delicious

The other night I wanted to try something different for dinner.  I wanted something easy for an after work meal.  I found "Honey Salmon in Foil" on Pinterest from a website called Dam Delicious.

Looked easy and yummy so I decided to give it a go.  I studied the recipe and gathered my ingredients…
Honey Salmon in Foil
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes
Yield 4 servings
A no-fuss, super easy salmon dish that's baked in foil for the most tender, most flavorful salmon ever!
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (I used garlic powder kv)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 pounds salmon
Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, garlic, olive oil, white wine vinegar, thyme, salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Place salmon onto prepared baking sheet and fold up all 4 sides of the foil. Spoon the honey mixture over the salmon. Fold the sides of the foil over the salmon, covering completely and sealing the packet closed.
  • Place into oven and bake until cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.*
  • Serve immediately.
Notes
*Baking time may need to be adjusted depending on the thickness of the salmon.

Extremely easy and yummy.  I would give it a 9/10 on my cooking scale.

Recipe found on Pinterest…"Slow Cooker Hawaiian Meatballs"

"Slow Cooker Hawaiian Meatballs" found the link on Pinterest and followed it to a site called Six Sisters Stuff.  Looked yummy, and easy, so I thought I would give it a try…I gathered my ingredients

Slow Cooker Hawaiian Meatballs Recipe
Ingredients:
32 oz. package of precooked, frozen meatballs (you could use turkey meatballs)
13.5 oz can of unsweetened pineapple chunks (put juice aside)
1 large green pepper, diced
1 cup of brown sugar
2 Tbl. cornstarch
2/3 cup of white vinegar
2 Tbl. Soy sauce
Followed the recipe…
Directions:
Place meatballs in crock pot and top with green pepper and drained pineapple chunks.  In a separate bowl, mix reserved pineapple juice, brown sugar, cornstarch, vinegar and soy sauce.  Pour sauce over meatballs, pineapple and green peppers.  Cook on low for 3-4 hours or until heated through.

It was easy and good.  I served it over rice.  It is sweet so you need the salty from either rice or noodles.  I would give it an 8/10 on my cooking scale.  I did kinda remind me of Hawaii:-)
Try a new recipe.  I suggest you find one on Pinterest.
Happy cooking and Pinning everyone!

Places, Found on Pinterest, That I Would Love to Go…..Lago di Braies, Italy

What a beautiful photo that I found on Pinterest.  Looks like it would be a wonderful place to visit.  I bet that water is cold though.  I wonder where those stairs lead? After a bit of google research I found that they lead down to the boats….That makes sense:-)
This is where I would stay because this hotel sits on the lake shore.
It got pretty good reviews.

I would take the hike around the lake with my camera in hand:-)

When ever I take a trip I try to find a church to photograph.
This would be the one.

Maybe someday I will get the opportunity to visit.  For today I can dream.
Happy travels/dreams everyone and happy Pinning:-)
